Kent State University Police are investigating a sexual assault in Centennial Court E. 

According to a campus advisory sent out via email and over Flash ALERTS, the university’s emergency notification system, the incident occured in the early morning hours of Aug. 29. The incident did not involve unauthorized access to the building, according to the advisory. 

Kent State officials did not provide any additional information, including any details about whether a suspect was identified, is being pursued or if a suspect was still at large. 

The advisory stated the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
